The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare at The Ohio State University College of Nursing is an innovative enterprise committed to partnering with individuals and organizations to promote and sustain evidence-based practice in clinical and academic settings. Recognizing that EBP is transdisciplinary, this institute focuses on engaging and teaching EBP professionals across a full range of disciplines.
Our organizational immersion includes the following features customized for you:
The expert EBP consultation includes a collaborative assessment of your organization with customized recommendations for developing EBP infrastructures and an EBP culture.
The unique 5-day program provides a “deep-dive” immersion into evidence-based practice. Participants will learn the step-by-step evidence-based practice process as well as effective strategies for integrating and sustaining EBP in clinical and academic organizations of any size or level of complexity.
The five-day EBP Immersion program includes tracks designed specifically for mentors, leaders and faculty. The content is focused on the unique roles and responsibilities of these individuals in implementing and sustaining EBP in their own practice as well as across the organization.
In addition to the five days of intensive education in EBP, participants will also receive:
- 37 contact hours of continuing education upon completion of the program,
- access to The Ohio State University Library resources for one year, and
- lifetime access to monthly immersion reconnect webinars, EBP listserv membership, access to EBP resources and an opportunity for networking with like-minded individuals.

The Fuld Institute for EBP team stays connected with you to help you continue to build and sustain your EBP transformation. We create a customized follow-up plan for you with a focus on maintaining momentum for EBP and impacting key stakeholder outcomes.
This program will award 37 contact hours of continuing education for nurses.
The Ohio State University College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Drs. Lynn Gallagher-Ford, Bernadette Mazurek Melnyk and Sharon Tucker are nationally known experts in EBP and co-authors of books about EBP. The content they present will be free from bias.

To successfully complete this program and receive contact hours, you must attend at least 80 percent of the course and complete the evaluations.
